How to Organize A Great Halloween Office Party

Most businesses have some form of holiday entertainment for employees at the end of the year. Usually, it comes down to a party at the end of the year. Why not make this year come alive with a Halloween office party? With a little group effort, these fun ideas can come alive and make you office party one that employees and leaders will all agree was "The best ever!"

The first step in planning for a Halloween office party is having a theme. Some themes that are fantastic and in keeping with corporate guidelines are Celtic 70s party, Witches and Warlocks, Day of the Dead, and many more. For the person in charge of planning the party, you can be as creative as your leader/boss will let you be. Be sure to pick a theme that is simple enough for everyone to find the necessary costume. Remember this is for adults, there is no need for cartoon characters. Remember that whatever your theme, you should have a location to match the scale of what you are trying to accomplish.

Music is next on the list of all things important. Check iTunes for great play lists or introduce Karaoke. Nothing is more fun that hearing coworkers belch out misinterpreted lyrics while performing. Karaoke is a great option. It encourages everyone to be engaged and helps to loosen up the guests. Let all your guests know that there will be a give-away for the 'Best Costume Design.' Get creative, give away something that will make people excited. If iPhones are the big thing, try getting one of those, if that's not in the budget try at AMEX gift card. Everyone loves to receive a gift basket. You could do small gift basket incentives for the 'Scariest Costume.'

Great ideas for food can be Mexican tortillas, chips and salsa, grilled chicken taco salad and anything else Mexican. Of course, you don't have to be authentic as the 'Day of the Dead' celebrations in Mexico. You can go for a pot-luck and hope for the best. Remember to ask guests if they have any diet restrictions. It should be up to the director of the party whether or not alcohol will be served. If not, then go for lavish desert treats like stuffed pumpkin eclairs, pumpkin pie, or have a desert bar. Guests will remember the awesome treats and are likely to stop by the desert bar time and time again.

When planning for the party, remember to give your guests ample time to prepare. Depending on your budget, you can have a great party at a small cost. The most successful parties are through the efforts of two or more great planners. Surf the web for supplies and decorations before purchasing. Secure a location well in advance. Tell everyone about what a wonderful time they have in store. Let them know about all the exciting give-aways that will be at the party. Finally, don't strive for perfection. With great planning, the office party is sure to be a hit. Guests will rave about what a wonderful time they had. This will help them stay in tune for the next Christmas party to come.
