Easter Gift Baskets are a Great Way to Celebrate the Holiday

Easter is a wonderful time of year. Spring has sprung, the flowers start to bloom, and the weather is perfect enough for an egg hunt. While it is a religious holiday, many of its customs can be enjoyed by many. The religious holiday is in observance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Christians see the day as the celebration of rebirth, after a time of sacrifice. The holiday is a wonderful time to join your family and friends and welcome the start of spring.

Even though Easter was not always a traditional holiday for gift giving, you would have a tough time finding a kid that was not looking forward to their basket on Easter morning. Many people have expanded their gift giving for the holiday to include more than just decorative gift baskets filled with colored eggs. Some have chosen to forego chocolate bunnies for gifts with less calories. Others believe that the holiday deserves more appropriate presents than candy. Finally, if you are far away from home and from family and friends, nothing would make them happier than to receive a beautiful gift from you for Easter.

When people think gift baskets for Easter, they think chocolate like our Mimosa Easter gifts! Baskets are typically filled with chocolate bunnies, chocolate eggs, and sugary marshmallow chicks. Besides jelly beans and nougat eggs, consider healthier treats like fresh fruit or popcorn. If food is not your thing, try small Easter baskets filled with things such as paperback books or current magazines. Ladies will love a bottle of bubble bath, or a tube of lotion. Baskets can also include things like jewelry, hair clips, toy cars, or stuffed animals. Anything you would consider putting in a Christmas stocking would work well in gift baskets.

There are few limits to what should go into a basket, but it is important to consider who the recipient is. For instance, you would not fill a child’s basket with the same gifts you would put in your sweetheart’s basket. A good example of this would be our Larkspur Easter gift basket. You want to be sure the gifts are age appropriate. It is also important to consider diet if you are planning to fill an Easter basket with candy. Be sure the recipient does not have any allergies or special food conditions before loading up their basket with chocolate and sugar. Lastly, make their basket special for them. Consider their likes and dislikes, their interests and hobbies, and plan your chocolate Easter baskets accordingly.

Spring is a great time to get creative and plan special gifts for the ones you love. If you are planning to have a holiday celebration, be sure to include at least one festive basket in your decor. Whether you are having a somber observance of the religious holiday, or celebrating the start of spring, an Easter gift basket is a great way to make the celebration delicious and fun. Plan your baskets early to ensure you have the choice of the widest selection of candy and gifts for Easter.
